What do you think of this answers site? Any features you want? Any bugs you see?
Please do use this q&a string to tell me what you want to see, the team behind Get Sponge are friggin genuises and then can pretty much pull off anything your little hearts desire!
Something that might be to your benafit would be if they could some how point someone to previous questions if someone asks something that has already been asked
good suggestion, already some overalpped questions...i'm thinking a search bar would also help!
Search bar definitely...Being able to see the last poster in a thread and when the post is from on the main page is always good....
I can't love it anymore!!! It would be great if we can delete our own question if we realized that we have mistakes in it.
No new features or problems come to mind at the moment but you might look at http://stackoverflow.com. This is a Q&A site for programming related issues. It's been around for some time and is built on the same concept as this site. Maybe you can get some ideas out of it.
I'm not sure if this is just affecting me, but it would be nice if you didn't have to log-in every time you wanted to post.
It would be great if I could put questions on a "read" list and had the option to only show the questions that I haven't yet read. That way I could quickly look at new stuff I haven't seen before. At the moment I always have to scroll through the whole list.
Also there seems to be no discernible pattern regarding where new posts will appear. New posts seem to appear in between older posts.
im getting this error message: "You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND content = 'question' AND content_id = 199' at line 1" and i've noticed that it happens when im logged with my facebook account, appearently this website wants me to log thru facebook but im signing up with my own user and password
Would be nice if the underlying code recognized ''www.xxxxxx.com'', or just ''xxxxxxx.com'' or anything starting ''http'' (for those who like to type a lot) and automatically made a link.
Main page should be sortable by Most Recent Question Answered, or Unanswered Questions First, or Question Date/Time.
Questions answered by Timothy Sykes should be visibly different than the rest of us, so if there are a lot of answers, we can very quickly see his answer, without having to scan for the user name.
On the main page list of questions there should be an icon (next to the icon that shows total # of replies) to indicate if any of the replies in that thread are by Timothy Sykes. I don't want to read somebody else's answers to certain questions. Some yes, but not all, so let me see before I click if Tim answered.
It should be possible to promote/demote questions not just answers and it should be possible to sort on that popularity criteria.
Another nice feature would be to hide questions that fall below a certain threshold in the popularity number. Each user should have the possibility to individually configure his threshold.
To help avoid double tagging, a list could be shown below the question box on the submittal page that allowed one to click on popular and other existing tags instead of typing them in manually. That way one can see if the tag they wish to add already exists.
I am having trouble editing my bio. I am not allowed to save changes because my user name is already taken. User name should not be an editable option. Also wouldn't mind logging in every time if I could change the password.
In my opinion the ability to comment on a answer would *greatly* expand the usefullness of the site. I know it makes it more complicated from a setup point of view...but if you nail it you will *own* this sector. Who let you set this up WITHOUT a search right from the get go???!! I would seriously question the people you are working with -- that is so basic it is like forgetting a rearview mirror in a car. If you want to see a *great* q/a site - (pay site but free trial) - go to http://www.experts-exchange.com/ - completely different subject matter there but why re-invent the wheel? The format works very well. Good luck!
I agree with Ignacholucero cause I want to delete my question. I didn't realize it was asked already
When you write a question it would be nice to get an e-mail each time anybody write a comment/answer into this question. I suggest you to put a check-box to select this feature 'cause other people may not want to get an e-mail, it would be nice and forgetful people will stay "in contact" with this website, a nice way to get more questions. Is like somebody comment you in facebook or any other social network.
Sorry if anybody suggested this feature yet. c'ya

Tim, from a branding perspective, organization is key. Speaking as a client of yours, having to jump from your multiple sites is a bit cumbersome, especially taking into account the nature of trading where timing is crucial, and a lot of that is lost going through your different sites/blogs. Having one large scale site will help from a organizational stand point as well make it easier to promote, and make it feel more holistic. one man, one site, one mission. just a thought...
RSS feeds for tags and users would be great. Also, the ability to see all a user's questions and answers from one page (not just the most recent ones). And of course search.
Hi
Questions can sometimes take a little too long to get answered, even if they are simple - maybe have a few forum moderators (is there even a forum?) who can answer questions, especially if FAQs.

Man, you definitively need a search bar, where people can enter questions to search your database. At least, I can't find one, so I suppose there is also none.
Sweet! Great to have a straight forward question and answer site with no hidden agendas. Excellent. So far, haven't encountered any bugs. Will think about more features. I like it.
yup, its confirmed i got another error message: "You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND content = 'topic' AND content_id = 208' at line 1" everytime i log into facebook and im already log into this website i get an error message like that one,it happens everytime im trying to view any message
Newest answers at top please?
Also, reply box at top instead of New Question box.
New Question should just be a button that goes to a fresh page with nothing there, so you don't think you are answering the question on the current page only to see the New Question form after you submit.
